What is The Cup about and why is everyone getting so ‘fancy’?
It’s a day at the races where old world elegance meets a debaucherous day party. We know we're not everyone's cup of tea, but we do pour a damn fine glass of champagne.
Fifteen years ago, three friends set out to throw the biggest day party this city had ever seen. Giving people a chance to dress up, drink champagne, dance on tables, smoke cigars, bet on the ponies and most importantly just have a time.
The Cup, Sam Feldt, 2023
Sure, we wanted to shut down the notion of Vancouver being the world's worst dressed city...which we do, at least for a few hours each year. However, what we really wanted, what we craved was a place to express ourselves, our style, our way and just let loose. Little did we know that there was a community of like minded people from every stripe and style waiting for a day like this.
The Cup Crowd, 2024
The Cup’s humble beginnings, hosted no more than a couple hundred friends. Fast forward fifteen years, The Cup welcomes well over 10,000 guests, features international artists, the best restaurants in the city and doubles as a runway for guests to showcase their derby day fits.
The Cup, Trackside, 2023
The world has changed a lot in fifteen years, but The Cup at its core, hasn't. It will always be a constant and unwavering playground to let loose and live your best life.
On Saturday July 19th, we celebrate ‘15 years of fancy’. If this sounds like your type of ride, then giddy up.
We look forward to seeing you there.
